About Us
Texas A1 Steaks and Seafood began when three family members, Vasilios Maragakis, Yianni Livaditis, and Vasili Hartofilax, came together and decided they wanted to dedicate their lives to serving good food and creating great experiences for people. Their passion for pleasing others in the best way they knew how, cooking, led them to open the first Texas A1 Steaks and Seafood restaurant in October of 2005.
Unfortunately, Vasili Hartofilax passed away a few years later, but his legacy lives on within the restaurant and with his partners, who came together and opened a second restaurant in March of 2011. Located in Portland, TX, the second location shares the same values as the original: creating great food and experiences with guests who are treated like family.
The legacy of the founders continues today with both locations upholding their commitment to great food and exceptional service. The restaurants maintain a strong sense of family and community, ensuring that every guest feels valued and appreciated.
